The data for our rankings comes from the CDC's NASS database. You might naturally wonder why this website is necessary at all, since the CDC has their own website.

Simplifying your experience

Unfortunately, the CDC website was not designed with parents in mind. There is no way to sort clinics by how good they are, nor is there info on clinic pricing, insurance coverage, or a way to personalize the results for your particular demographic factors.

Baby Steps' solution

We take raw data from the CDC and use it to train a proprietary model we built. This model predicts which clinic will yield the best results for you specifically. We can then filter the results based on what particular services you're looking for.

IVF clinics can differ dramatically in their success rates. In any given year, patients attending the top quarter of clinics will have a baby about twice as often as those attending the bottom quarter of clinic.

What's more, the success rate of a clinic can be predicted with reasonable accuracy ahead of time. An average patient can increase their odds of having a child by up to 43% and reduce their costs by thousands of dollars just by picking a higher quality clinic.

But it's not as simple as just picking the best overall clinic.

Factors specific to each patient can affect these success rates

• Some clinics do unusually well with older women
• Some are good at treating a specific type of infertility
• Some won't accept your insurance
• Some don't have appointments available for the next 6 months
